Technology

My favourite pieces of technology are my picture cameras.
I love photography, so I have 4 cameras, all differents.

One of them is a digital reflex camera, a Canon EOS Rebel t3. It is an old model for nowdays, but I love it. I have two lenses for this camera, a 18-55 mm, and a 75-300 mm (this one is a zoom).
This one was the first camera that I got. I bought it in 2012.

Another camera is a Nikon N65, this one is an analog camera, it use a 35 mm film. Usually I take black and white pictures with this camera.
This camera was a gift that a friend gave me.

Another analog camera that I have is a Pentax K1000. This one is an old camera, made of metal (actual cameras are made of plastic). This one use a 35 mm film too.
I bought here, at university, it in he first week of classes, in my first year of Visual Arts.

And the last one, and one of my favourites, is the Polaroid 600 Bussiness Edition. This one is an instant camera. It use a special film (just for Polaroid 600), so it is too expensive, a film costs 22000 chilean pesos, for 8 pictures.
I bought this camera in 2012, in plaza Brasil.

Music

I like a lot of different music styles, styles like post punk (it is not punk), dark wave (it is like new wave, but “dark”), a little of gothic rock (it is not metal, it is slow rock with a dark ambient), and indie... Really I like music with dark ambients, not just “gothic”.

 Bauhus - Bela Lugosi's dead

I think there is a lot of important musicians, then it is really difficult to talk about the “biggest” musiciant in the world. Some big musicians - for me – are Peter Murphy (from Bauhaus), Ian Curtis (from Joy Division), Robert Smith (from The Cure)... just talking about the “classics” from 70s and 80s; but there are a lot of new good musicians too, like Woodkid...

 Woodkid - The Golden Age

Those ones are just a little group of musicians that I like, and most of them do “dark” music, but there is a singer, writer, musician, visual artist, etc. who made me fall in love with her from the first moment I listened to her music, her name is Björk. I really love Björk because her music is really different, it is so difficult to classify her music style, because she mixes different music styles, and all her albums are very different among themselves. So, my favourite album is “Medúlla”, and my favourite songs are “Where is the line”, “Ancestors”, “Mouth's Cradle” and “Vökuró”.

Why did I choose this career?

When I was a child, I wanted to be a veterinarian because I really liked animals (not just when i was a child, I like them now too), but when I started my high school I realized i didn't like sciences, i liked some things related with humanism, social sciences and arts, and I had habilities on maths too, so I wanted to study architecture because it is a career that mixes everything I liked. When I finished my high school I didn't want to study, I just wanted to travel.

Then, before a few (long) years I realized I didn't like a “normal” life (life with family, a big house and pets), and i don't like any traditional career... and I love arts, so I decided for this career. When I started University, I wanted to study photography, but I do pictures before I started university, so I'm studying painting at the moment, and I love it.

I have no idea what I want to do after university, but i don't want a “normal” job.
